Data-driven models are ubiquitous in modern autonomy stacks, enabling tasks such as perception and prediction. However, ensuring the safety and reliability of AI-driven components remains a paramount challenge, due in part to their data-driven design and dynamic behavior. This talk delves into recent advancements for enhancing trust and safety in autonomy stacks, crucial for applications in autonomous driving and safety-critical robot autonomy. This talk will also introduce the idea of uncertainty quantification, and initial exploration of large language models application in autonomous driving.
